USACUSA Umpires have been Appointed for ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 Practice Games
The excitement for cricket fans around the globe is reaching its peak as the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup 2024 is set to commence on June 1st. This year, the prestigious tournament will be hosted by the United States, with the West Indies joining as co-hosts. With just a few weeks remaining, cricket enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating thrilling matches and unforgettable moments on the field.
In a recent announcement, the International Cricket Council (ICC) revealed the lineup of umpires who will officiate the matches throughout the tournament. A total of sixteen umpires have been selected, showcasing a blend of experience and emerging talent. Among them are all twelve members of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Umpires, along with four individuals from the ICC Emerging Umpire Panel.
In a proud moment for cricket in the United States, five umpires from USACUSA have been appointed to officiate practice games leading up to the T20 World Cup. These umpires, representing USACUSA, are:

- Owen Brown
- Rushane Samuels
- Tarak Janapareddy

USACUSA Conducts Level 1, Level 2 and WICUA Exams
On April 28, 2024, the United States Cricket Umpires And Scorers Association (USACUSA) conducted Level 1, Level 2, and WICUA (West Indies Cricket Umpires’ Association) written exams, drawing in 56 aspiring umpires from multiple centers such as Boston, Atlanta, Washington DC, and New York. This event underscored a notable dedication to the advancement and certification of cricket umpires throughout the United States, reflecting a burgeoning enthusiasm for maintaining officiating standards within USA cricket communities at every level.

West Indies Cricket Umpiring Association (WICUA) conducted the Level 3 umpiring written exam on August 10, 2023. Umpires hailing from various regions, including Bermuda, Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados, Leeward Islands, Windward Islands, Canada, and the United States, converged to put their skills to the test.
We are delighted to announce that the umpires representing the USACUSA demonstrated exceptional prowess, clinching the top six positions in this prestigious examination.
