A Big Day for Aspiring Umpires in USA: USA and WICUA Certification Exams Underway Nationwide
Today marks a significant day for aspiring cricket umpires across the United States. A total of 90 umpires are advancing their umpiring careers by participating in various levels of certification exams. Across the country, 54 umpires are sitting for the USA Level 1 exam, while 22 are taking on the Level 2 exam. Additionally, 14 seasoned umpires are tackling the Level 3 (WICUA final written) exam — a major milestone in umpiring excellence.
This achievement highlights the growing commitment to strengthening cricket umpiring and professionalism in the USA. As cricket continues to expand its footprint nationwide, the need for highly trained, certified umpires has never been greater. These exams are not just tests of knowledge, but also celebrations of dedication, preparation, and passion for the game.
On behalf of USACUSA, President Mr. Danny Khan extended his heartfelt wishes:
“Good luck to all our umpires today! Your hard work, commitment, and passion are what drive cricket forward in the USA. We are proud of each and every one of you. Best wishes for success — we are all cheering for you!”
Wishing all our umpires the very best as they continue their journey to excellence!
